Linux and Microsoft

I sometime ponder about what would happen to all the Linux Servers running in United States Government Servers if Microsoft wins a law suite against various Linux vendors? Can US Government who do not like to be held at ransom by any large country of its size (aka China) like to be held on ransom by a corporate who thrives on US Government policies?
