India, US put nuclear deal on fast track- Politics/Nation-News-The Economic Times

Now since India's UPA Government has won the vote of confidence, India and U.S. are trying to close nuclear deal on a fast-track.

For many in India, at this point USA is considered a friend of India, helping India clinch a much needed Nuclear Deal. Well, it is all about money. The nuclear deal will help US Companies such as GE sell Nuclear technology to India and will enforce US based monitoring for all Indian Nuclear facilities.

At the same time, to keep Pakistan happy and allow them to not-oppose this deal with India, U.S. is diverting anti-terror funds to allow Pakistan to buy newer F-16 from U.S.

It is going to make political climate between both rival countries in South Asia hotter and raise the tensions.
